Orion The Hunter looms over Cape Conran National Park, Australia. Foreground is lit by the light from a crescent moon just out of frame to the right. Sky masked out during the single long exposure using the "magic glove" technique to avoid star trailing.

Nice landscape, but I can imagine it with different composition. I would put there more sky and take the picture closer to the water

Thank you very much for the honest feedback I agree about the composition but I had a few things working against me which prevented me doing what you suggest. I'm actually a fair way up on a cliff edge in this shot as there was no easy way down to the water edge. There was also a strong onshore breeze blowing a lot of sand and sea mist on to the land so even if I could have made it down closer to the water I wouldn't have expossed my equipment to those conditions anyway.
