Description
Hawes End Jetty, Derwentwater, Lake District, England.I was looking for a specific jetty I'd seen in a book which was supposedly photographed on Derwentwater according to the photographer! It never materialised, as I walked all the way round the lake to try to find it (approx 9 miles)!!! I did come upon this little gem however, which made up for the dissapointment of not finding the other one.
Used my B+W 110 ND filter again, which in the bright sunny conditions provided (slightly tempered by mist), gave me about a 2 min exposure!
Obviously a bit of pp was required to get it to this stage.
Hope you enjoy!

Of course you can't agree with perfection...that's professional modesty! But I can still think it.
Truly, it's an incredible shot!

The light would never be the same again anyway.

Great shot. This is a 2 minute exposure? May I ask, what is a B+W 110 ND filter?

Hi, a B+W 110 ND is a neutral density filter which reduces the transmission of light by 10 stops! So, if you take a normal exposure which reads 1/8 of a second and then apply the filter, by dialling in 10 stops extra (this works out at 2 mins in this case) you should get the right exposure!!! Hope that helps!

That's what I thought it was. I was thrown off by the "110" Thank you for clearing that up.
