Description
Hawes End Jetty, Derwentwater, Lake District, England.I was looking for a specific jetty I'd seen in a book which was supposedly photographed on Derwentwater according to the photographer! It never materialised, as I walked all the way round the lake to try to find it (approx 9 miles)!!! I did come upon this little gem however, which made up for the dissapointment of not finding the other one.
Used my B+W 110 ND filter again, which in the bright sunny conditions provided (slightly tempered by mist), gave me about a 2 min exposure!
Obviously a bit of pp was required to get it to this stage.
Hope you enjoy!

Well, and what do we learn from what you say? 15 kilometres of frustrated walking around will bring us a great picture!

I keep coming back to look at this amazing shot!
Really fascinated by neutral density filters and have been doing alot of reading about them. What are the factors that determine when you use them and when you don't?
Thanks for the inspiration!

Simply stunning. The gradual grey fading of the background through the water is so perfect, I'm amazed that any water is that calm. The shadows cast by the dock are so perfectly blurred this shot really is eye candy. Honestly though I'm not surprised, your work always raises the bar for my expectations.
Thank you for amazing us all again.
