Beautiful photo, the colours of the rocks against the sun looks awesome, and the sea looks like ice, that is the effect I am hoping to get when I get my new camera do you need a special lens to get that effect?

Yes...you need a neutral density lens! I used a B+W 110 ND lens which reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor by 10 stops! You can get this type of effect without a special filter if you photograph at night! Hope that helps

You used a B+W 110 ND Special filter, not lens did you say?

yes...its a filter you attach to your lens in order to reduce the light getting to the sensor, thereby requiring a longer exposure!

I just love infe-red filters,I will definatly be buying those too.
