Yay! Finished coloring~ Yes it's a limited pallete again, the other one was turquoise, so this one's sky blue....I think this is going to be a series. One for each color in the rainbow~ 8D
This one's about falling into dreams, how once we lose ourselves in our sleep, it's probably where we are at our most harmless state. Almost innocent. Not counting what you're dreaming. >;]
((Daisies represent innocence when looking at flower meanings. I've a slight obsession about them at the moment))
Inspired by Tiffany Chandelier earrings~ ((Because they're so pretty... *o*))
And that bright yellow machintosh I still have in the back of my closet and still can't get myself to wear....
EDIT: Oh yeah, here was the turquoise one I mentioned. [link]

For some reason I'm reminded of Cardcaptor Sakura, particularly the cards Cloud and Little...

Your creative sense is incredible, but I think moreso than that you have tremendous technical skill with your artistic style.
Things I think could be better about the piece:
-The blue is sort of overwhelming. I think you could also do to add darker and lighter blues (Maybe just a couple of different shades, like one lighter blue and one darker blue, maybe a couple of shades of yellow as well if you prefer.) and just cut out of the blue a little.
-This sort of goes in with the last one. The kid with the umbrella sort of retracts back into the background, because it blends with everything around it.
Things I LOVE about your pictures:
-You have this excellent sort of style both in the clothing of your characters and the way you draw your pictures. Your fashion-sense is pretty incredible, and the way you make your art is also very good.
-Your pictures convey the ideas, subtly but surely. I can see exactly what you meant when you talk about the subject and meaning of the picture. You also decorate the background of your pictures very well.

Technical skill? Pft. You're funny. Says the guy in drawing III while the only thing I really get is pressing harder on the pencil. XD
X{
I had that problem once I finished coloring it. ((Is this...neon??))
And nope. Not going to add more shades of blue. It's one color of blue and will stay that way. Though...this is like electric blue. >,>;
I think I'll go over it in something less....loud.

I wasn't so much telling you that you should change the color of this drawing as to take under advisement that you might want to use a couple of other shades of color.
And technical skill doesn't have a lot to do with what class, I'm in (even though I'm only in drawing II to begin with,) you have a lot more practice with pen & pencil than I do.

I know. One color one shade. I can mute it down, but I'm not doing multiple shades....because I'm an idiot. XD
Are you for serial? Then way is it called Drawing II to begin with? ;/

It's called Drawing II, not Drawing II to begin with.
xD
And it's your art, I'm not gonna tell you how to do it. lol

Huh, easy to get the comparison with dream waves, but this one surely has a tangible aspect of innocence, childhood, and purely sweetness, that sets it apart from the other.
It's really enjoyable to look at, even though I wouldn't mind to see a little more blue, maybe in a lighter tone, thrown out in the back. Not covering it all, but kinda spotted here and there, specially behind the chandelier and the daisies, would add a great dream likeness to it.

Yeah, they're really similar aren't they? Similar yet kinda different~
I was definitely worried about the blue part in putting too much that I put in too little, but I don't want to put in another shade of blue since I want to stick with 4 colors...Though I say, I'm rather tempted....

i love the way the design conveys the meaning to the peice, when i read you're explanation it made perfect sense, the way the flowersw and strings of beads are sort of suspended/ hanging there. the yellow also adds a lot, but if blue is to be the dominant color, i'd suggest using more of it. overall, awesome job!

Thanks!
And yeah, I agree with what you were saying about the blue, I was trying to avoid big connecting blobs of blue together, and in the end, I went overboard and put in too little...
