How'd you do that special effects and get that digivolve background?

Loooots of experimentation. If you want me to talk about other sfx on this page, just ask, but as far as the final panel goes, I took the radial gradient tool and made a big fuzzy white circle, then used the smudge tool at various sizes and strengths to give it the spikes, and then I added a strong Inner Glow of an aquamarine color. (You can find this option on Photoshop CS3, which is what I use.) For the text, I typed in the English and drew the katakana and used one of Photoshop's preset "glass button" effects, duplicated the layers twice, and dropped them behind each other to achieve the effect of 3D text.

I have Photoshop elements 10, but haven't used it, instead I use Paint.Net for my art Just got Photoshop elements actually. I wonder if theres any good toutorials.....
