Description Big project I wanted to get finished before I started anything else (again, sorry new Portal watchers!). Lord Death, the second of the Lords who rule my little world of Myth. He's probably the coolest, too. Much more active and out-and-about than the other Lords. Bonus Internet points for you for guessing what he's being in that third picture.

Lord Fate's up next, and that will conclude the Lords series. ....Later.

He'll be glad to hear it. He doesn't get a lot of love.

8DDD That would be amazing.

Sure, he's basically the folk myth of the Grim Reaper with my own spin on it, but let's face it, the Grim Reaper is awesome.

Lol, totally agree) I have several Grim Reaper based characters myself.
PS
Lord Death in pimp outfit, surrounded by pretty lady-reapers. Yes, this what i shall do!

Both.

Unless he was taking the souls of a bunch of unfortunate ladies who died together in a helicopter crash or something.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it...I've always had a fascination with the Grim Reaper--don't think he's such a bad, macabre figure--so adapting him was fun.

Oh man, this is the best representation of Death in fiction I've seen in a while. (Also, is it bad that I tried to characterize his race through forensic anthropology?)

Ah, thanks! Piers Anthony was a kind of inspiration. And no, it's definitely not bad.

I must say, he is far more pleasant than I would have first though. That being said, he's still death, but I admire his professionalism. As well, I enjoyed the expression barrage very much. :3

Lastly, Fish, Bird, mickey mouse

Caretaker-of-Myth In reply to Trust-the-Owls [2011-05-18 02:16:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah...I always felt that Death needed to be pleasant in person. Apparently lots of authors agree. Glad you liked...it kinda scares me.

And nope! Come on--everyone knows toons don't die! 8p Well...unless you stick them in paint thinner, I guess.

Death of Rats! Death of Rats! Ooooh he's my favorite. ^.^ I hope saying I'm a fan of Death doesn't make me creepy... <.<;;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Caretaker-of-Myth In reply to SnowMewKat [2011-05-18 23:29:53 +0000 UTC]

Nope, not at all ^^

And yeah, I hadn't heard of Death of Rats or Pratchett's Death when I made up this guy, but I guess I was going for the same question; why would Death only be a human skeleton? Pratchett solves it by making a bunch of different Deaths and I solve it by making mine a bunch of different things |D
