Description
Other weapons may include but are not limited to: spear, glaive, nunchucks, crossbow, morning star, mace, sai, chui, meteor hammer, flamethrowers, vehicles (although he's very very bad at driving).HOWEVER, for the purposes of #Wonderlust-oct , please note that Sandsifter will be limited to weaponry that normally fits in a normal coat, albeit one with huge pockets. This means he will not be carrying unlimited ammo or wearing his bullet belts. However, his weaponry will include:
-a dagger (7" in length)
-two sai
-a pocketknife
-nunchucks
-an assortment of darts and throwing stars
-three grenades
-two modern pistols + ammo
-and maybe a little something extra.
Second apprentice ref. All three have now been introduced.

So many bullets... But I guess that's appropriate for an apprentice of death. XD

Scythes are indeed awesome. I have always loved them.
Actually doing the bullets was decidedly not awesome, though. Copy+paste, tilt, layer, copy+paste, tilt, layer, copy+paste, tilt, layer...I don't even know how many of them are on there. I should count. Tediouuuuus...Glad you like them though XD

Hehe, he probably would and you flatter me by mentioning it. Not really my kind of tournament, though....I tend to go for the fantastic rather than the gritty.

I would use a character called Abigail Carver!
Hopefully, I'll upload some pictures of her.
Tomorrow.

Whoa, I do not believe I've made myself aware of this storyline you appear to have developed! I must investigate further!
Sandsifter catches my eye as a well thought out, and carefully molded character! One thing about his picture attracts me in particular: The ammunition bandoleers, however did you manage to draw them so perfectly!? They don't look copy-pasted.

But they are!
(This little comment of yours was hiding. Oh but I have gotten to it now, oh yes, I have gotten to it now.)
Yes, all I did was grab one of the bullets from the "sheet" on the left and copy+paste, copy+paste, copy+paste, over and over and over on different layers, with shading after. Consequently they somehow look realistic while the rest of the piece is clearly a cartoon. Not necessarily good, I think...
I've developed the storyline, but really only in my head thus far. Backstory needs to be all drawn up before I can do anything with it here...I'm glad you don't think he's cliche though.

Well you did a terrific job on the bullets nonetheless! In order to allow the bullets to "blend in" more with your style, I hypothesize that merging them all into one layer and applying some filter effects could conceivably break up the photo-realistic precision.
Ah yes, I know the sting of the mentally developed storyline bug as well. Only recently have I begun the process of taking it all down in notes.

oooh, cool. Nice to have such a diversity in personality with the apprentices. I LOVE that coat, and the details on the scythe and bullets only add to his strange aura of "don't mess with me". A job well done, indeed.
