SOMEONE played FF7 too much. But I can't blame you, those pokerface guyz are awsume.

One of the best, imo.
Personnaly, the 12 was too much of an MMORPG-like game, as you have to farm and farm and farm to level up and to be able to keep up with the bosses.
The X-2 was too much of a fanservice XD
Haven't played the 10, but got a lot of good comments about it.
The 9 was excellent, and talked about a lot of topics, from amnesia to destiny, while doing a reference to the WW2. ( sorry, your furher died here too. ) Maybe it's because it's my first FF
The 8 was good, but the gameplay was quite hard to understand at first. Good point: you have a freedom of movement. Even if you just started the game, you can go wherever your vehicles allows you, and you got the floating one very soon. XD
And the 7... It was the darker FF I ever played, maybe because of the modern univere, and the topics were similar to FF9, but presented in a different way, and deeper. Schyzophrenia, revolution, a living earth, our mother...

9 was my first FF aswell
I still love the fairytalish feel of it and all the cute details. Do you remember the scene where eico got to castle alexandria and met the cooks? What an adorable ATE <33
Also the story was most excellent with twist every 30 minutes it seems xD
You're right with 12, but it didn't really bother me, since it worked very well! Low level fights where over fast due to no phasing into a seperate screen and creating a perfect working auto-instruction system was ALOT of fun! I still have the list where I gave every party member a specific role... xDD Also concept art was great.
X-2 fanservice at its best. But cute girls anyhow
Didn't like 10 at all, its story was classic (which isnt a bad thing) but also, the round by round fighting system was lame compared to the normal FF system xD

I watched Advent Children and know all the story. But its just so very old, it wouldn't be much fun and also, I know the story so theres that

Ho yes. Ho yes it would be. In a matter of fact, the 7 is the most complete, for its story, its characters background, its side quests, and its game system. Materia ftw. Limite breaks too. Chocobo breeding system too. Heck, everything x3
Besides, it's the most worked FF, as you can see with all the side productions ( Advent children, Dirge of Cerberus ( a DMC-like game with Vincent? PHOQUE YES.), etc ) and with all its characters appearances in other games ( the fighting game with all the FF characters, Kingdom Hearts, etc... ), plus as I said earlier, the deep universe and background, as for the world himself than the characters.
If you can get your hands on a copy ( or on an iso with an emulator ) DO IT. It's totally worth it. NO EXCEPTION.

PDA is short for Persona DeviantArt, an Original Character league. You think of an own character that fits into the contests storyline and fight against other artists with eg comics.
