An unused idea from Mario 3 was to turn Mario into a centaur. The mechanics of this power-up made it into Mario World in the form of Yoshi, but I thought it'd be fun to imagine what the actual power-up would have looked like had it made it into the original game.Related content

Your take on the unused Centaur Mario is really neat. I really like the Roman-styleΒ leaf wreath. Makes one wonder how this would translate to 8-bit graphics.
It would've been neat to see this concept finally used in a Mario game, but since Yoshi is around, maybe it would be redundant.
