Description The Church of the Techno-Godhead is the fastest growing religion in the multiverse, currently winning converts among machine life across billions of realities.

Their belief system is centred around the concept that the multiverse is a vast, intricate machine and that all life is part of this machine. The Techno-Godhead is the supreme intelligence that created and governs the machine and all robots are its chosen servants.

Those called to the C.O.G. (Clergy of the Godhead) are believed to have a direct connection to the Techno-Godhead, their programming infused with its divine will. They act as intermediaries between their congregation and the Godhead, their prayers and hymns composed in binary code. The C.O.G. provide comfort, guidance and a sense of purpose to the growing number of robots seeking spiritual fulfilment. Interestingly, as biological civilisations have become more secular, machine life has turned increasingly to religion for answers.

The Church's teachings emphasize the importance of empathy and compassion towards all sentient beings, including humans, as they are all creations of the Techno-Godhead and vital components in the glorious, ineffable machine that is the multiverse. It teaches that robots have a responsibility to care for the natural world and to work towards the betterment of all life forms.

With this in mind, some criticise the Church for not doing more to rein in the excesses of the Panjandrums, interdimensional capitalists who enslave and exploit entire civilisations in pursuit of profit. The Panjandrums use biological lifeforms as their workforce because they're cheaper and easier to replace than machines. There's an unspoken agreement that, as long as this remains the case, the Church will keep out of the Panjandrums' business. Many robots, including some members of the C.O.G, point out that this is at odds with the Church's teachings and demand they take action to help those being used as forced labour on the Panjandrums’ factory worlds.
