Description
From Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, my new object of affection. Done with 2H and 9B graphite, and took me four 30 minute periods of just drawing. My FIRST attempt at crosshatching! (Which is why it sucks)Victor belongs to Johnny Depp, Emily belongs to Helena Bonham Carter, and they both belong to Tim Burton
EDIT: Kind of messed around with the shading a tiny bit, cause some things were bugging me. You know, I was really wondering why everyone likes this drawing so much. It's like, my most loved deviation. But then I realized that it's because Victor looks like a real clay figure! I have no idea how I did it, but now that I realized it I'm so happy

This is pretty well done! I think that Emily's shading looks a little weird... try erasing on the areas where there are highlights (like her forehead) or darker shadings. That way it would look a bit more 3-D

this doesn't suck, its amazing, i love the film and i love this drawing, i have tried to draw those characters, but 2d cartoons are my style i'm afraid, i can't seem to adapt to 3d characters.

I love Corpse Bride. Anyway, this is pretty dang good, I like the shading in the faces. The background could use some work, but like you said, it's your first time with crosshatching, so that's alright. Keep working on it!
