Description
Cadence used to wear her hair in braids as a filly (before her ascension). Her mother used to do her hair for her and she absolutely loved it... once she moved in with Celestia, she switched to her signature ponytail. In a moment of nostalgia, she tried to do braids for herself, however all that did was remind her of the life she once had and everything she feels is lost to her now. There isn't her mother's voice and the gentle tug of a hoof - it didn't take all morning... it wasn't the same. So now she's undoing those braids.

I haven't drawn a sad Cadence in a while, I'm a weakling who wants her favorite character to be happy - she's a genuinely tragic character though so I have to get over that weakness... (also sadness aside, doesn't she look great in braids? what a beauty...)
