Description
READ LEFT COLUMN FIRST, THEN RIGHT COLUMN.That's it, this totally proves that I'm a masochist to the extreme.
If you think the last tutorial was long...pffft. IT IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THIS BEAST. This is at least double the size of the last one D:
I made a poll awhile back asking people what they'd like to see most in my next tutorial. Out of the options I gave, I got mostly inking, hair, background, coloring large areas, blending, and a whole lot of "EVERYTHING!".
You guys got your wish. I included EVERYTHING
This isn't ALL of the steps (I think I left out at least 1/3 of it), but these are probably the most useful stuff to put in a tutorial.
I hope this will be helpful and that you guys can get something out of this! (If not, I would be terrible sad). I tried not to repeat myself from the last tutorial and go over new things. So yeah, let me know if it helps. I will be very happy :B
Have fun!

...yeah, I'm gonna go sleep for the next 24 hours now, kthxbai

Wow, that's a lot to take in. It was amazing though .I never colored, really, only twice and with pencils. I have no courage when it comes to coloring my own work and hoping it'll turn out good. You're awesome, thanks!!! XDDDDD

I has question!
Where'd you buy the inking materials and the white gel pen coz I've been looking all over the country and every store said they didn't have any ;^;
Amazing tut, though, very very helpful
And I love how you do highlights and shadows...
*wonders how patient you really are with details*

If local stores don't have any, you might want to look online. You can find inking pens at [link] and white gel pens at a lot of other places :>

Thanks! This is very useful. I've just got one question, and here it is:
When you said not to leave anything uncoloured does that include the whites of the eyes?
π: 0 β©: 1
cartoongirl7 In reply to songbird79 [2008-12-15 01:09:30 +0000 UTC]
Yep, I color the whites of the eyes a very light shade of gray since eyes in real life aren't supposed to be completely white.
(sorry for the late reply )

Ahh thank you SO MUCH for making these tutorials, they're absolutely a must-have when you're lost in big backgrounds or transparency D:
I color in such a different way with these markers, but this tutorial can help me broaden my COPIC horizon
Now I just need to get more markers... they're insanely exspensive here in Denmark

I've finally got me 101 copic markers plus the multiliners <33 They are just wonderful.
I am really curious, would you happen to know which colors you used for Tamaki's hair? I've been experimenting with some to try and get a nice blonde color, but none of my attempts seem to work too well. I always end up with this sandy, really fair blonde instead of a nice golden one, like you got.
π: 0 β©: 1
cartoongirl7 In reply to TeamTayen [2008-11-13 05:08:46 +0000 UTC]
Yea, yellowish blond hair is really hard to do because there's no actual "blond" color in the Copic selection. I did it by mixing the Prismacolor marker, Cream, with Copic colors E40, E41, E43, and some Y000.
Good luck and have fun with your new markers! :3

π: 0 β©: 1
cartoongirl7 In reply to MacroImagination [2008-11-12 02:24:05 +0000 UTC]
Thank you very much!
Since both Prismas and Copics are alcohol-based markers, they work very similarly. Prismas don't have some of the exact shades I mentioned in this tutorial, but the techniques would still apply :>
