That's really a bad bad habit! >_<
I love how you used the colours, the whole piece is so lively and I almost can see the movement. Very well done!

Hehe, I crack my neck all the time, though not the way you do it. I just tilt my head from side to side, not using my hands. I'm afraid I'd break my neck doing it that way.

i'm sure out of these millions of comments it's been said already, but damn, the way those brushstrokes in the back round emphasize the movement, and the SOUND! it's seriously masterful. i keep seeing it in everyone else's faves and i'm stuck looking at it every time. bad ass. it's also making me feel very stiff knowing that i can't do that. i need a massage.

Bad habit of mine too... I'm going to get arthritis in my neck or something.

I don't really like the bright bleu shadow highlight, it just doesn't seem to fit to me... Mind you, I'm just some kid that has no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

I do adore your brush strokes though, your style is really awesome. You have soooooome wicked talent there love. Truly envious I am.

I love your use of colour in this - how it edges in at the sides and implies the colour all over, while retaining a harshe, almost bleak style that somehow matches the sound.

Wow, this is incredible. I just love the way you used warm colours for certain areas only and the way you changed the direction of your stroke to emphasize the cracking effect.

I am really impressed the way you use the paint. Creating details from ... well, undetailed stuff.
No, english is not my first language. Hope you get what I'm trying to say. It's a complimant, anyways.

Ah, I had a habbit like that. Except, I used to do it without using my arms.

Just stiffen my neck, and kinda, bend it in both ways, hard to explain. But it used to make a really loud long crackling noise. Like running your fingers along a radiator.

I can't do it anymore though, my bones have worn out Oops.

i share the same 'bad' habit. cracking my neck often sounds like one cracking their knuckles, except a bit louder. the release of tension is immediate, and gratifying.

this piece exemplifies all the intricacies involved with cracking your neck. the physical tension before the crack is expressed perfectly..

your choice of cool colors, save a few highlighted spots, is an interesting emphasis.

I do the same thing. Well, I do quick neck turns to see if I can crack it that way (and I usually can). If I can't, then I'll do what you drew. Which is awesome, btw.
