New favorite manip
My first time really working with fire like this, and also doing this much painting on the horse. My last few manips were good practice for this, and I really like the outcome. It makes the horse..pop!Not to mention great for lighting.Tell me what yall think, kay?
Oh,and I apologize ahead of time in case there are some people out there who can see the mane on their computer.I can't really see it on mine,so there's no telling what it really looks like >_> Hopefully my computer is like everyone else's though xD
Thanks to all the stock providers!Much luff

character info:
*name- Pyromaniac
*breed- Thoroughbred
*description given- She’s feisty, quick tempered, and in a way stuck up. She doesn’t take to the boys that try to get her attention with fancy talk. She loves to set flames to everything and watch how everything burns to the ground. She is a very destructive little flicka and enjoys causing pain and chaos. She is very cunning and likes to stand up to the “bullies” and show them that they aren’t really the bad assess they think they are. She knows she’s sexy and likes to flaunt it sometimes, but knows how to reel in even the wisest of victims.

Awesome!
Here's a little critique:
You did a great job with the lighting on the horse and everywhere else on the image!
The tail of the horse should probably have more motion that just sitting. The fire in some parts look a little fake, but maybe thats what you were going for? Behind the front leg where the fire is going it looks kinda green. So maybe selecting a color from the fire and using match color or something like it would help.
Great Job!

yesh! Fire is hard to manipulate when its the first time! It took me a long time to figure out ho to use it. Regular fire stock is probably better than brushes and a collage of drawn fire

I love how the fire is lighting the bottom part of the horse but the rest of the picture fades away in to the darkness of the night. It would have made the horse pop if you would've made the eyes a little brighter but overall lovely picture!

Hello, Thank you for submitting to Critique Night. Here is your feedback from last night!
^candid-crocodiles^ I honestly do not see anything wrong with this lol I fail with working with fire. Great job!
^Jumpergirl303^ This is a wonderful manipulation! I love how the flame looks and my only advice is to sharpen the edges of the horse a bit but really that’s it
^fetherhd^ photo-manipulation is not my forte...but it is awesome the way the horse goes from flame to blending away to nothing on top. a really cool affect.
^templebar^ Ok so i can tell that a lot of painting has gone into this and have to say most of it is good but I’m not really liking the mane and tail, first they are quite difficult to see and they seem a bit pixilated as does the top of the horses back, but I love the fire and smoke around the horse so congratulations with that, and i love the eye.
^NewAgeStables^ This is wonderful. The horse is true to its original form, though you've manipulated the lighting to match the flames he dances upon. I'd say the tail could be picking up a bit more light, although it wouldn't be necessary by any means. Also, the background itself feels too cold for the current colour scheme in places; almost out of place altogether, really. Other than that though, this is amazing. I hope to be able to do things like this myself one day. Wonderful work.
^little-hercy^ This is wonderful! The really bright fire confuses me though. And where it goes up the front leg is a bit off conformation wise. The lighting is near perfect. Maybe it could be a little more yellowy from the glare of the fire? Overall a fantastic piece of work (:

The light from the fire should not have a line where I can see you added it. it needs to be more natural... take it a little farther out and lesson the light more and more until it disapeers. I would even make some stronger colors to it... The brown and even an orange tint to bring out the horse a tiny bit more. you would see the flames dancing on its chest aloso. Love the eye.

Oh my goodness!
The composition of this is excellent!
I love the focus is drawn onto the fire and the foals legs by darkening out the upper half of the image. It's very cleverly done and so unusual! Makes a change from mountains or starry skies.
I read some people can see the mane, i cant, but i am still really in awe of this. I only ever favourite the absoloute best of work on DA, this is going into the collection!
