I think I know where HTTYD 3 will go, based on classic Disney cliche, and literally how every relationship carries on in a Disney movie.
Toothless meets the Light Fury (or to make it short LF) and there's one of those moments in a movie where the entire world stops, lovey-dovey music plays, the man looks dreamy eyed, and the female or attractive character is doing something out of particular in slow-motion. LF will notice Toothless and probably unexpectedly attack him. it will be interrupted with those weird sound effects, probably by Hiccup, telling Toothless that they have to go fly somewhere, get a move on, or he is also interested in the new encountered dragon as well, he just kind makes too much of a big deal about it. Something bad is happening to where the antagonist is at, which led LF to encounter and meet them. Hiccup is obviously the "Dragon Whisperer" so he can understand dragons. Uh oh, he doesn't understand LF very well. So, LF leads them both on the treacherous journey to where the bad dudes are. Closing to the middle-end of the movie, as long as LF doesn't turn out to be a guy, Toothless and LF begin to draw in closer to each other to a relationship, but cannot be together because of their crappy lifestyle. On their way there, they will probably be separated in some scenario which one of the characters will be devastated about. (Probably like Toothless' FAKE death scene, and LF is overly emotional, so therefore, Hiccup and LF with have to leave Toothless to die, and they leave, and he says something like, "We'll come back for you. . .I promise.") When they finally get there, without Toothless, it goes into twenty minutes or more of dialogue, character Life and Betrayal flashbacks, and crazy long speeches why they should stick to their side and vise versa. After what seems like forever, they will begin to battle for a long time as well, but somehow, nobody is killed, or anybody who is killed is oddly not shown on screen (Its alright, because this is a children's movie, but for the sake of realism, ehhhh. . .) But the next few fights will be focused on Hiccup and the bad guy probably, and they will continue to take about themselves and how their lives have both gone down a dark hill. It will flip past parts where LF is probably fighting off other dragons, and losing, which urges Hiccup to escape the antagonists grip to go help LF with one of his dragon tactics. Once there is another ambush, Toothless will fly out of the blue (literally) and come to Hiccup's aid. Then, more battling for 15 minutes. When it is at those moments where a character does something to almost kill Toothless, LF will be a freaking heroine and take the shot/bullet/etc. for toothless and die for him, except it's FAKE, AGAIN. LF whispers "SCRRRRREEEEE SQUAWK SCREEH (I love you, Toothless.)" and she will somewhat die. The bad guy's allies and dragons will probably stop fighting and turn good, because not 200, not 300, but 1 dragon was shot. Allies will turn on the side of the good and kill the main antagonist after he screams something like, "This isn't over! Attack!" Then it turns out LF was faking it the whole time just for dramatic effect. In the Epilogue, Astrid and Hiccup either are married or have children prancing around their house already. The screen goes over to a nest of eggs, where LF sleeps. One of her eyes open to the sound of eggs cracking. Then there is once again, a long speech before all goes black.
