No. Millie never disowned Briarlight or any of her kits after her injury, and she didn't force her leader to change their names to something horrible. Sure, Millie may have been cruel and misguided, but she never intended to hurt any of her kits, which is more than can be said for Rainflower.

True, but I get tired of people dissing on Millie because "she stole Graystripe from Silverstream!" or "she can never be as good as Silverstream!" I don't mean to disrespect you if you dislike Millie for a legitimate reason, i.e, because of how she treated Blossomfall, though.

Yes, but Bumblestripe didn't join a cult of dead cats or ignore his leader's direct orders by going into the tunnels and nearly getting himself and a clanmate killed. Millie was wrong to ignore Bumblestripe and diss Blossomfall, but that doesn't excuse Blossomfall's behavior.

I meant it was wrong of her to basically pretend her son didn't exist. Blossomfall was bratty, but Bumblestripe was really sweet and loyal and she never recognized him for that.

All good points. But that's what makes Millie a well-rounded and flawed character. Before Briarlight's accident, she was bright, cheerful, and optimistic, still blind to just how dark and bleak clan life could be. She still believed in the illusion that clan life was just one big, glorious adventure, and her daughter's accident ruined that illusion. With that fantasy shattered before her paws, she wishes that Brairlight never suffered her injury, that she could live a full, happy life, but she can't, no matter how hard she wants to, and that's the cold, cruel reality she has to face. Now, she begins to doubt her decisions. What if she had refused to give up her kittypet life and travel with Graystripe? She wouldn't have fallen in love, true, but her kits would have never been born. Briarlight would have never gone through her accident, she never would have had to go through that horrible pain of having a permanently handicapped kit. But at the same time, she's conflicted because she loves Graystripe and her kits and the life she chose, and knowing all of this, she begins to break down. She was going through so much during that time, that if she did manage to balance her time with her kits and still keep her behaviour in check, people would call her a Mary-sue, like they called her when she was still a cute, bubbly she-cat who could speak dog. Let's face it, no one in that situation would come out with perfect hair and unbroken relationships.

Yes, but like a lot of fans do, Millie haters use that term against her for no other reason than them trying to make her seem like a bad character.
And no offense, but I am really starting to lose my patience. I said it five times already. Millie was going through some terrible times and her mind was under serious stress. She didn't mean to abandon Bumblestripe, she simply forgot about him in her heightened need and instinct to care for Briarlight.

But why can she speak dog? Why did she run off with some guy she hardly knew? Why doesn't she ever do anything to help around camp? Why didn't she care about one of her children almost dying in a secret underground tunnel system? Why is she never really shown with Greystripe after the third series?

Because she spent most of her life around dogs, because she fell in love with him and was concerned for his well being and she was entranced by the life he described, because she was traumatized by Briarlight's accident and forgot about her duties in her desperation to help her daughter, because she's Blossomfall's mother and knows her extremely well, and saw right through her lies, and figured out that it was her fault she almost got herself and another warrior killed, but since her mind was in such a fragile state, she responded inappropriately, because they were focusing on the main characters and their story, and there simply isn't enough room to fit in every single background character in ThunderClan.

Well, in the original series, Princess says she can understand some Twoleg words, but I am not sure it's possible for cats to replicate the sounds of every twoleg word. Cats often mimic the sounds of their prey to get them to lower their guard, and I've heard my cat yowl a few garbled 'no's' when she was picked up, but I don't think cats are ever going to speak fluent twoleg any time soon. And don't forget, Millie can't speak twoleg, and she may not be able to completely speak dog, either. She was shown to understand most of the dogs words in Warrior's Refuge, but she was only shown to say things like "No", and "Stop. Go away". Understanding and speaking are two different things.
But I will admit that Millie knowing how to speak at least some dog is a weak plot point, since it was just suddenly thrown in without any previous context that it was possible in the Warrior's universe. Some kittypets, like Sasha or Cody, should be able to speak dog as well.

except genetics denies it. blue eyes are a recessive gene, which means it only shows if you got both of that gene from your parents. it also means two people (or cats) with blue eyes can only have offspring with blue eyes.

I scrolled through the comment and let me say: Nightcloud is no bad mother, she is a she-cat who loves Crowfeather but he is still in love with whiny little Leafpool, and totally hates her and their only kit is also ignored and turned evil. Her kit hates her also. Do you blame her for being grumpy and overprotective?
