tbh, after seeingΒ Β Β ANNNIHIIILATIONΒ Β , it creept me out to where i had a nightmare. i have to say, i think the bear scene was the scariest (

YES this film was so interesting!! Not perfect, but it had such a distinctive and haunting atmosphere ππ evoked such a gut-wrenching response, ESPECIALLY in the theater -- the scene with the black figure was sickening, uncomfortable, and loud a.f.; the soundtrack was perfect for it. The bear was definitely the best thing they encountered -- I wish we got to see more creatures like it π
LOVE this, especially all the little details in the flowers!! The lines on the skull look fantastic. The bits where it morphs into that human skull, too -- amazing idea and amazing execution π

ohh i agree! the world they managed to create on screen was so memorable...so grotesque, yet so beautiful - it's such an interesting aesthetic that i've rarely seen on screen! you're so lucky to have seen it in a theatre! i missed the chance and i regretted it so much ahah ;U ;;
ooff that freaking bear caught me off guard, but i loved what they did with it! reminded me of a nosleep story i read once on reddit haha

man it's soooo good but so eerie!! cant imagine how much more otherworldly itd be if the theater hadn't been so full :,0 (and it really was loud at that one part.... I want to meet the sound director just so I can shake a fist at them, my gf and I were literally covering our ears at the high pitched screech + dull roar π¬) but yea we REALLY dont get movies like this often, it was such a gem! fits into a new category in my head, along with a quiet place, hehe
bahhhh, translating 3d objects/ references into detailed 2d lines is very difficult!! this is amazing!!
