For a second I thought it was Flamekit, Tigerkit, Dawnkit and Tawnypelt going to Thunderclan when Sol taken over Shadowclan but I read the thing and I was like.. Oh

wow, I haven't read about mapleshade yet so i didn't know, so the death of her kits turned her evil? why!? she could've joined starclan with them!

She fell in love with Appledusk, a tom from RiverClan, and therefore she and her three kits were exiled from ThunderClan. This scene takes place as she is leaving ThunderClan territory during the storm she was exiled in. She tries to go to RiverClan so that she can raise Patchkit, Petalkit, and Larchkit with Appledusk, but Appledusk was mates with Reedshine and she was expecting his kits. While Mapleshade tried to cross the river into RiverClan territory, the river was flooding and her kits got swept away and drowned. When Appledusk found her, he told her that he never loved her and that she killed their kits and that Reedshine was his mate, and Mapleshade was so angry and grief-stricken that she was having hallucinations of her kitsβ spirits trapped in a limbo-like world, so she killed Appledusk in order to free them. She targeted Crookedstar in the Dark Forest because he was related to Appledusk and looked so much like him. Believe it or not, the Erinβs confirmed that she did NOT cause the death of Crookedβs loved ones, nor his accident. She just manipulated him into thinking it was his fault for making the promise. I hate how mapleshades vengeance only had 9 chapters. But I did love the death scenes AND OH MY GOD CAN I ADOPT PATCHKIT'S GHOST? And frecklewish it was her fault because Mapleshade said nothing THEN she blamed Mapleshade for lying. Wtf.

It really should have been a super edition. I really wanted to know what her life was like before she was banished. I felt as if I only had half a book when I read Mapleshade's Vengeance.Β

I think it could've been much better had it been a super edition. There wasn't any reason to like Mapleshade or root for or against her and Appledusk as a couple. With a super edition, they could've fleshed out the characters and story much more.
I wish they made Mapleshade's Vengeance a super edition and made Mothflight's Vision a novella. Mothflight's Vision was extremely disappointing. I almost regret spending money on it...
