It's been almost two months since I last uploaded a manip. Lately my tolerance for stock hunting has been pretty low; I do it for ten minutes then get bored and do something else.So a couple of days ago I decided that a series of portraits might be the way to go - it uses far less stock than a scene, and gives me a chance to practice my detail work at the same time.
Like hair. What is it with me and blue hair? It's hawt, that's what!
If ~Hongatar-stock lets me make a print out of this, it won't have the URL on it.

I love the eyes and the lips, the porceline look to the face. And of course the hair is perfect! Glad to see you back! (and I know what you mean about downloading stock!!)

nice texture, expressive work. she reminds me of vermeer's girl with the earing. i would suggest adding some more color to her hair, it's unrealistically monotone, and the color in the rest of this work is so nicely subtle. just use color balance and bring some reds or greens into the hilights, and maybe a tiny touch of another color into the shadows. nothing huge, just very subtle.

Those eyes are enchanting! Those and the hair colour and tiny cherry lips make me think of a manga-girl come real. And there's also bemusement and something solemn, almost sad in her face I like. Like she's a little girl out in a big big world and perhaps feels a bit lost. Or want to go out there but don't really know how. Staring from the inside to the outside.

The big eyes startle people a bit when they see them on a non-anime character, but that's the exact look I was going for!

If I ever dyed my hair it would be blue. Sadly I am too old and staid for those sorts of shennanigans these days... till I go eggshell blue when I am old!
