Another pre-Con sketch,Β Sarah from the Labyrinth in her ballroom outfit.
I thought it would be fun to show my process from initial rough sketch toΒ completion. For quick pieces such as this, once the client approves the initial sketch I usually re-sketch (if the initial sketch isn't refined enough) on a new sheet of paper using my light box and then ink. After that colours are applied.

Very awesome. Just wondering why her skin looks so lifeless when colored? Is she supposed to be undead?

No that was not my intention, I limited myself to a very limited colour palette because it was a Con sketch.
