I don't usually like doing this, but I thought it'd be interesting for others to know what my intent was in terms of the message of the photograph. If you were startled, I did my job correctly. It's supposed to be gaudy and slightly disgusting, not because of the subject (she's a stunning girl), but because of how strange it is to see the sexual and erotic image of too much lipstick juxtaposed with braces, something that is most often associated with innocent children.
But yes, thank you to everyone for the support!! It's made my day!

Pfft...braces sucks *curses her crooked teeth*. Well...ex-crooked. Almost done with these blasted things. I love that someone got a DD for using braces though. They're a pretty interesting thing to see and since they introduced the invisalign kind it's almost as if the metal kind are becoming more famous. Anywho, congrats on the DD and her lips look awesome, wonder what she used.

Well I have cheap lip gloss with entirely too much glitter but it doesn't look as good on me as it does on her. I dunno, maybe I'm just cursed.

What about a series on stained teeth, decayed teeth, etc. Now that would be daring.

Any other picture that had the lips, the same viewpoint, etc. and you'd have a typical photograph (not that there's anything bad/wrong with lip close-ups, but i see a lot). But with this, you add the braces, the imperfectly teeth(the way it's not so white like other models), the slightly mussed hair, the amateur-esque put-on of lipstick (the way it's a bit sloppily done, and how there's some sticking to the strand of hair in the background i think), and the blue glitter on her lips, and you have yourself an amazing photo.
I have braces at this moment, and I think you couldn't have portrayed it as more beautiful. Gives me hope for my next picture taken. Though it's not likely that it'll be a closeup with lipstick.

I get the feeling from other comments that this isn't what you were going for, but this shot makes me feel like Humbert Humbert. The sexiness of the lips happening at the same time as the little girliness of the braces makes me feel very weirded out. (that's a good thing!)
Anyway, I love this shot. Most people seem to like it because they view it as making braces look sexy, but I think it's wonderful as a fairly shocking photograph.
So, again, I don't know if that's what you were intending, but it really created a strong emotional response in me, so I think it's great!

I really like the composition and color
On top of that, the concept is really good. So many heavily-lipsticked shots... I like the idea of something ruining it, making it completely un-sexy.
