File is Obese.Haha. Well. I decided to randomly make a jeans tut cause a lot of new dollers are having issues... and I've always wanted to make a tutorial ^__^
Don't steal, copy, etc this or any part of it or the artwork... it's really rude.

I don't use gimp, but if gimp has a pencil tool (or a 1 pixel brush) then yep! You can also apply the things you've learned in this tut to a larger piece.

So far its going ok; it's definitely translating oddly from your small base to this medium large one though lol It's all a matter of getting the right pallete and the right number of colors though :3

I wasn't thinking very clearly and ended up rambling on my other replies xDD Well, not that I'm awake, I can answer your question properly >_< While my other answers make sense, they don't fully answer you. So.
"why color the jeans white if you're about to fill them with the base color anyway?"
I colour them white before filling them with the base colour so I can see any mistakes in the lineart that I couldn't detect when the legs or red colour was underneath it. If you look very closely, I changed a few pixels here and there on that step, now that I could see. ^__^

Because, if you leave them with the skin colour still underneath, you will want to shade them just like the legs of the base (some people just recolour the legs as jeans), and by colouring them in with white, you can allow your brain to think, "Okay, this is how I need to shade JEANS."
