|| Physical Description ||
Brief Description: Her fur is fairly short and soft to the touch. It’s very sleek and tends to cling to her body, showing off the she-cat’s muscles and some of her more obvious bones, such as those in the joints on her legs. It’s very manageable and rarely picks up leaves and dirt, though does get dusty if she’s not careful while out in the field. For the most part, though, it’s low profile and attracts little attention, being a fairly dark and unobtrusive color.
Body Build: She’s got a long, sleek body, with well-developed muscles from the time she’s spent training and working on her physical strength. She’s built more for speed, than strength though, and holds most of her power in her back legs and core area. She’s thin and lithe, with a long tail to help with balance and aerodynamics. She generally appears to be very delicate, though is able to take a hit or two from an average cat.
Scent: Mostly dirt and the ashen world, but there's a hint of fresh grass and lavender hidden in there
Voice: Emma Stone ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrgXeg… )

[ Confident | Adaptive | Loyal | Careful | Interested | Caring | Gruff | Untrusting | Pessimistic ]
[Confident|Adaptive|Loyal]
With her danger-ridden past, Del learned many important lessons, one of which was that questioning herself and her decisions could only lead to disaster. So, with that in mind, the young she-cat grew confident in herself and every choice she made, even when they weren’t exactly the best for each situation. As she spent her early life out in the wild, constantly moving from place to place, she had to change her way of life over and over, learning new hunting techniques and places to hide with each new area. The blue apprentice never grew too attached to each camp she lived in or any one style, and instead became quite adaptive, with no problem at all changing in each new place. But, since joining the Haven, she’s learned a few more lessons, one of which taught her that the cats that she’s with now, will work to keep her safe from whatever she may be facing and, even though they ask for little in return, she knows that she would do the same for all of them. The young seeker knows that all of these cats, though she has yet to really meet some of them, have become her family, and that her loyalty to them and theirs to her is more important than anything else now.
[Careful|Interested|Caring]
Spending the first eight months of her life outside of the walls, Del was always very cautious, and she still is despite the fact that things are much safer within the Haven. Though she never second-guessed herself in the wild, she was always thinking over each and every decision she made as a way to ensure that it was the best thing she could do for her survival. She’s still extremely alert when on missions outside the wall, and even within keeps an ear out for danger at all times, and never rushes in to anything. Even though many traits she had obtained in the wild stayed with her inside the walls of the Safe Haven, some things changed. When she first arrived, the apprentice had never felt comfortable among the other cats, shying away from them and not wanting to get attached more than anything. But, since meeting some cats whom she thinks she may be able to call friends someday, she’s changed a bit. Though she’s still quiet and a bit nervous with new characters, she’s grown rather interested in learning about others and their stories. So, she often asks many questions with new cats, wondering exactly what in their life caused them to turn out the way they are. She’s also started caring a lot more about the cats inside the walls, though she isn’t all that good at showing it. The she-cat is always looking out to protect the other inhabitants of the Haven. Her rough exterior often makes her seem hostile to newer cats, but in reality, she’s always got their safety in mind when she’s outside the walls with them.
[Gruff|Untrusting|Pessimistic]
Though she’s grown slightly softer with cats since joining the Haven, Del is still pretty rough around the edges, and has quite a bit of trouble being “nice,” especially to new cats, though there are some whom she’s grown close enough to that they’ve broken down her walls a little bit. But still, she’s quick to snap at anyone and jump to her defense should she be wrongly accused of anything at all. The seeker also has quite a bit of trouble getting to know new cats because of her lack of trust for others. She’s always looking at cats she doesn’t know as if they could be a danger to her, mostly because in the past, she’d never met a cat that she could trust excluding her parents. This doesn’t stop her from forming relationships with other cats, it just makes things quite a bit more complicated, so those who don’t really put the effort forward to show that they can be trusted normally don’t make it far with her. She’s always looking at the world from a negative point of view, seeing how things could be a whole lot better and how everything could turn out seriously wrong, though she’s rarely vocal about these opinions unless they could stop someone from making a stupid and/or dangerous decision. Extra Personality Info
After realizing how much was necessary to be a full blown warrior for the Haven, Del has entered a phase of trying to better herself socially, thus forcing herself to be generally more openminded to those she hasn't gotten to know yet and having a more positive outlook on life, especially after how much just trucking forward and trying to think positive helped her along her Proving and made dealing with Emberdrop much more manageable.

Kitten
(0-6 months)
Del was born into a cold and cruel world. The Calamity had hit hard everywhere, and her parents’ home had not been an exception. Trapped on an unfamiliar playing field, Talus and Blue struggled to successfully deliver and raise the young kitten. Though most couple’s would have hoped to have more than one child, the pair was rather relieved with only having to worry about one more mouth to feed, rather than the three that Blue’s mother had to care for. She was a strong kitten, another thing that they were thankful for, and she was quickly able to adapt to the world around her. Her parents had sworn to each other that they would make it through this thing together, one way or another, and though Del was merely a baby, and not yet old enough to voice her own opinions, she joined in with them, knowing that somehow she’d make it through as well.
The first month was probably the hardest. Her mother and father had been in this chaos-ridden world for six months, but never with a kitten who constantly needed feeding and couldn’t walk nearly as far as they could each day. So they had to find a new system. Their trips to new resting places were shortened, and they made sure to pick up all of the soft moss they could find on the way, not caring about how far they would have to carry it. Blue was often the one to carry the young she-kit, as Talus was more able to defend them against the strange creature that wandered the landscape around them. The family survived, but there were a couple of close calls, such as when Del contracted a cold and could barely move for a week, or when Blue wasn’t eating enough to produce milk for her daughter. Still, they made it on to the second month, which was better by far, as Del was stronger and could carry herself a bit farther than before, and no longer needed to rely on her mother’s milk for food. Talus started teaching her to hunt in her third month despite her undeveloped body. Though she rarely caught anything, her muscles began to develop by her fourth moon, which was when she needed them most.
It was around the silver-backed she-cat’s fourth moon that Talus began to fall away from his family. He started to lose hope that they would ever be safe again, that they would ever find anyone else in the world, and even Blue’s reassuring words and loving touches couldn’t cheer him up. He lost his motivation to do much other than walk with the she-cats to each new nesting area, barely even hunting for the family. So, Del took over his responsibilities. Though she was young, she started bringing home food for both of her parents, mostly packs of vyrmian and the occasional pabloo, though they were much harder to catch for her. The family wasn’t eating much each day, with only the little she-cat hunting for the three of them, but they lasted a while longer, until one day, Talus broke.
Although they were managing well enough, doubt was beginning to overcome the lone tom, and eventually drove him over the top, spitting and yelling and letting out everything he had kept pent up inside of him about how they would never really be safe again and his concerns that they were the only cats left in the world. Blue and Del weren’t quite sure when the full change occurred, but it wasn’t long before he had lost his former spirit and turned into something entirely unlike anything they had seen before. The she-cats knew they wouldn’t be able to fight the tom, and instead turned and ran, eventually making it safely out of his range and away from the possibility of him causing them any harm. Blue was distraught by the loss of her mate, but continued on with Del, knowing she couldn’t leave her daughter to fend off the world alone at such a young age.
Their life alone was just as solitary as it had been before, though Blue would always try to cheer up her daughter, and make her look on the bright side of things. Without having to worry about Talus anymore, Blue was able to focus on just Del and tell her stories of how things used to be and learn alongside the younger she-cat as they both adapted to the new realm. While their happiness was really just a ruse, something to keep them both from going insane, it did bring the two very close together, uniting them more as a family than they had been before. Both she-cats enjoyed each other’s company and were glad that at least they weren’t alone.
Youth
(6-12 months)
As the pair’s relationship grew stronger, they developed new hunting techniques that involved working together rather than by themselves. On one hunting trip, while using one of these new techniques, they encountered an fowl. Deciding that it might be best to have a large meal for once, the two she-cats decided to pursue it, setting it up so that Blue could scare it into running straight for Del who would finish it off. When Blue jumped down on it, the frightened creature did indeed run towards Del, but she wasn’t prepared for it’s generally violent nature, and so when it lashed out at her, she was unable to dodge its large claws. They sliced up her ear a little bit before Blue intervened and the two managed to bring it down. After that, the duo tended to stay away from fowl and other large ashen, preferring to just stick with vyrmian and pabloo.
At around Del’s seventh month, Blue went out one night for a casual hunting and scouting mission, just to see if she could find any signs of another cat, as the two did every night, when she was attacked by an enroi, who’s nest she had stumbled upon. Del noticed the next day when her mother’s makeshift nest was still empty that something was wrong. She searched through the forest, following her mother’s scent, and stumbled upon the older she-cat’s lifeless body. It was torn to shreds and barely recognizable. Had it not been for the few patches of clear blue fur that had remained intact or the emerald green eyes that stared lifelessly at the sky above, the moggy would’ve walked right on by, not caring to investigate what had obviously been some midnight snack. But she noticed these things and stopped. She sat by her mother all day, fearing that she might fall to pieces should her body be moved. No ashen were attracted to the area for some reason, most likely due to the fact that the enroi had claimed that territory for himself, though Del liked to think that her mother was warding them off, allowing her daughter to grieve in peace.
She left that night, fearing that the beast who had killed her mother would return for her, and found a small, hollowed out log to call home until morning. She awoke the next day to the call of the monarchs, inviting her to join them and others inside the walls of the Safe Haven, a place that she could call home forever, not just for one night. The young she-cat almost didn’t go. All she could think about was how her mother had missed it by just one day, that she didn’t deserve to go because she could’ve been the one on that scouting trip had she not have wanted to sleep that night. But then she realized the Blue would’ve wanted her to go on, and that she had promised as a kitten to survive through this thing, no matter what. And so she followed the Call and made her way to the Haven, which was about a two-week long journey, and took her into her eighth moon.
Upon reaching the Haven, she was greeted by more cats than she had ever seen before, though they were definitely not “many” yet. The she-cat was required to take a new name and, given her age, made an apprentice. The monarchs gave her the name Pebblepaw, for the faded speckles on her back, which reminded them of small stones, and she was assigned to a darkling by the name of Hushedlight, who would train her in the ways of the seekers. The blue she-cat was rather opposed to the idea of being forced to work with someone else, especially a former ashen, but was given no choice in the matter.
Originally, she avoided her mentor and all of the other cats of the Haven, preferring to stay by herself, and living in a small hollow at the base of an old tree. But then she met someone who seemed entirely too familiar for her liking. It had been an accident, of course, but while taking a walk along the wall, she bumped into Talus, her father, who was now going by the name of Alderstrike. He remembered little of his time with his family, and even less of his attack on them, which hurt Pebblepaw greatly. But they talked and got to know each other a little bit better, and she realized that he hadn’t truly had control over himself at the time of his attack, that the changes he had been going through were almost impossible for him to stop. Their relationship was still a bit rocky, and they weren’t quite the family they had been, but it made Pebblepaw a bit happier knowing that she hadn’t been the only one to survive.
The second cat that she met was a tom a few months younger than her by the name of Flightpaw. The two felt comfortable together almost instantly, and she was comfortable enough to tell him her former name, which he chose to address her as. The young tom told her about his time before joining the Haven, and how he had been turned into an ashen by being bitten. It was an odd thought, as all of the other darklings she had met had changed after suffering some sort of emotional trauma, as far as she was aware, which made the young she-cat curious. With permission from her new acquaintance, she poked around at his scar and got a nice clear view of it, only to discover that it was just a scar, nothing more, nothing less. This interested the she-cat even more, but there was little that could be done about investigating at the moment, so she put the idea aside, instead just talking with the tom for a little while longer, and actually gaining what might be considered a friend.
Her next major interaction with anyone was at an event the monarchs had put on. In this event, each cat had to demonstrate what they could do with their abilities. Pebblepaw’s were extremely limited at the time, so she decided not to make a big deal out of it and focused on a weak looking tom, projecting her thoughts in a manner that would let him know he was being watched. It worked and he turned his attention to her and showed her his own gifts: animation. Though her own measly skill wasn’t quite as interesting, the tom stuck around and they struck up a conversation. His name was Littlestep, and he revealed himself to be a crafter. A few other cats joined in on their conversation, namely Flightpaw, the small apprentice she’d met previously, Wolftail, a large vanguard, Palepelt, a seeker, and Mintpaw, another seeker apprentice and Palepelt’s apprentice. The blue apprentice had to say that she strongly disliked Mintpaw, as her feisty attitude with him had given the spotted tom the impression that he could call her “Dollface,” but all of the other cats seemed alright to her, and they actually had fun, talking about mating (which the older cats had described as hugging), and just bonding as cats of a common flock.
A little while after that, she and Mintpaw met each other again, and went on a bit of an adventure together in the tom’s attempt to teach her to have fun. It was quite enjoyable for the she-cat, and their relationship improved enough that she didn’t actually care too much when he called her Dollface. They played together in a stream, splashing water on each other and whatnot, and had a grand old time. It really helped Pebblepaw loosen up and continue to get used to the idea of living among others and cooperating with more than just herself and cats who thought like her for once, which would be quite useful in the future.
Following that event, one day, when Hushedlight had decided that Pebblepaw was ready to go out on a solo mission, the young cat encountered a strange tom whom she had never seen before. He said that his name was Father Nicholas, and that he had been given similar skills as those cats within the Haven walls, meaning that he too had a warrior name: Lightbringer. The large tom told her about what he was doing outside of the walls, bringing hope to other cats and diminishing the ashen population. It seemed rather interesting to the apprentice, but she was more interested in learning why he had decided not to stay in the Haven where he was practically ensured safety, and could definitely use his abilities to bring down ashen. Their encounter was brief, and left the she cat curious, but also with a gift he had given her. It was a small rock-like item that he described to her as “the Gem of Past and Future.” The pilgrim told her that it would allow her to see things as they had been before the calamity, and even bring cats back from the dead, though that part of it could only be used four times. The she-cat thanked him for the gift, rather surprised that he had trusted her with it, and parted with him, wondering if she’d ever meet the strange nomad again.
Around her tenth month, Hushedlight set up an assessment for Pebblepaw, as all of the mentors were doing for their apprentices at the time. The seeker-in-training was instructed to follow her mentor’s familiar, a strange bat-like creature named Luomin, and eventually catch it and retrieve an item from its pouch. After a few hours of intense running and hard work, the she-cat succeeded in catching her prey and returned the pouch to her mentor without opening it, worried that she might get some kind of deduction for doing so. Hushedlight was slightly surprised by this, having expected the young cat to open it upon catching her familiar, but ended up opening it for Pebblepaw, revealing a small blue stone, which the apprentice later took to Littlestep to get made into a necklace for her.

A few days later, Hopflight announced a little event he was holding in which each cat inside the walls would get a rose that lasted forever if the cat gave it to someone else by the end of the day. Pebblepaw spent most of her morning staring at the flower, not sure who exactly she should give it to, but knowing that she didn’t want to let it die. Originally she had planned on dedicating it to her mother, but that didn’t sit right with her, so instead she decided on Flightpaw, but upon arriving to his den, she discovered that he was nowhere to be found, and instead his denmate, Mintpaw, was there waiting for her. After a bit of deliberation, the she-cat gave her flower to the pompous tom only to receive one from him later that evening.

Adolescent
(12-24 months)
There was a meeting. It wasn't meant to be too eventful, just a ceremony to name the chiefs who would help out the monarchs when it came
to running daily events around the Haven. Everyone was buzzing when they saw the four cats seated with the Monarchs, mostly about the fourth cat, whom few recognized, though Pebblepaw knew as Lightbringer. The chief positions were announced, and it became known that the large tom was now in charge of her own profession and therefore her. Cats welcomed the newcomer happily, until things changed. A dark feeling fell upon the Haveners as new cats approached, and only those who had faced a terrible past as a member of the Skinner's Gang recognized. The new cat's leader, a small she-cat by the name of the Skinner, introduced herself and her followers. There was obvious tension in the crowd as she announced her intentions, and Lightbringer spoke up against it. Verbal fights broke out, and it looked like two cats were really going to go at each other. All Pebblepaw could do was watch as it unfolded, her lack of knowledge on the situation holding her back greatly. And then the Skinner made an offer. She put out the idea that members of the Safe Haven could join her ranks and receive a power they had never known. Pebblepaw immediately spoke out against it. Obviously no one would join- everyone here knew of the pain she and her "Way" had caused other Haveners, it would be stupid for them to join. But then they started coming to her, starting with a little kitten, just barely old enough to make his own decisions. Pebblepaw stayed adamant on her views, refusing to back down even when her own mentor joined. It was at this point that she became the most emotional, removing the stone that Hushedlight had given her from around her neck and cracking it on the ground. Things were different now. She fought harder and harder against it, and more apprentices joined in. She saw her comrades working so hard, and it began to wear down her walls. She wasn't as strong as them. She never could be. Not without some help. The Skinner's offer began to feel appealing. She could become stronger to help those within the walls. Her relationship with her mentor had been broken because the young apprentice believed that Hushedlight was selfish, but she was joining for a different reason. She was joining to help. Pebblepaw joined as the final member to enter the Skinner's Gang that day, and it changed the path she had been set on.
