Allow yourself to change into someone,
you have always been.

Underneath 24 thick layers that I have built up each year of my life, hides a personality of which I thought was long gone. After years of doubt and misunderstanding, I finally told myself that it's okay to be me. I stripped off my shell and accept the way it is. So here I am. (:

This drawing was heavily inspired by the song "Hearts a Mess " by Gotye. I had it on repeat (in my head) from the beginning to the end of the drawing process.

It was meant as a quick sketch, but it grew on me, and I couldn't stop drawing for 6 hours.

Made on brandless heavy sketchbook paper, with:
- regular Bruynzeel pencils
- 0.5mm 2B, F & H mechanical pencils
- and a lot of care, love and devotion
