I guess this speaks for itself...
Some portraits I made in the years from 2001 'till... well... last month!
I hope this encourages people to create the things they like, whether it's drawn from reference images or just totally made up.
Sorry for the low quality. I can't post a high res version of this thing right now because my internet connection is terribly slow since last week. And my internet provider says they'll fix it within 2 weeks. Grrr!!!

That is so cool. Not only is it amazing to keep record and remember your old stuff and then compare to how far you've come in a few years, it seems like it would be a great motivation to move further. Awesome

So your first pic was in 2001!? I've been drawing since I was about six years old (the better part of about 20 years) and I'm stuck at the skill level you were at somewhere between 2003-2004... That's natural talent for you I suppose... Well I guess I'll finish by saying gratz on a spectacular eight years. Jealousy is so unbecoming lol.

wow... okay... lately... i've been kinda bummed out and started thinking "man... i think my drawings have started to get worse. ;__;" but now that i look back at the things i drew from a while ago... i've realized i've come quite a long way... so no use in quitting now.
your drawings really changed and they became great works of art. ^^ it's always nice to see how people BECAME good... because most of the time when you see people's art... you start thinking "oh man... they've just got natural talent. i can't be that good! >.<" and you get kind of put down. but to see people like you, who show that they've worked hard and come a long way to become the great artists they are now, really helps to encourage people like me~ x3

This is so incredibly amazing....and just proves that I won't become a very good artist. I don't have the patience to keep drawing for 15-30 hours per piece. ^_^;;

Also, I found it interesting how you would gradually spend more and more time on a single work. I'd probably be somewhere around stages 3 and 4, depending on how much time and effort I'll put into a portrait.
