"After what seemed to be an eternity, the tormentors grew bored and left, throwing hateful looks. The old man sighed, releasing a breath that he had been holding. His fits unclenched and he picked up his gray-pink scarf that had been tossed to the ground when he had run out to save the man.

The man! He turned around to see if the other man was okay. The rain was falling too hard to make out the face, heck, even the body, but he could make out a silhouette of a short man.

The thunder cracked and the old man decided to bring the other in. He knelt down and carefully placed a hand on the shoulder. The body stirred and seemed to turn and face him. The old man extended his hand, and the injured one took it without hesitating."
