[link] !!!Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie.
If you haven't heard, these aren't fake. They're the actual starters for Gen VI, Pokemon X and Y. FOR 3D AHHH <3 Thank god my brother got a 3ds for his birthday c:
October is so far away though ;n;
I think it's obvious Fennekin is going to be a huge favorite with everyone, I just HOPE it's not another fire/fighting when it evolves. I also like Chespin, even it looks a bit like Oshawott. Froakie is just okay, hoping for a Water/Ice combo though <3
I think the developers actually did a pretty good job with these guys, can't wait to some evolutions!

I would be happy to hear your opinion on the new starters, but please don't whine about how they suck or bash the designs, because frankly, I don't care, and I doubt most other people do either.

I absolutely cannot wait for Gen VI! I love Fennekin and Froakie, but I'm not sure if I like Chespin or not. I'm kind of iffy. But anyway, I love this. c: Your lineless art is very nice!

To me, Chespin looked a bit like Nuzleaf and have the potential to become a Grass/Dark type, albeit unlikely. And Fennekin had the same appeal as Eevee or Zorua, and in another discussion somewhere someone else have pointed out the possibly of it being of a Fire/Psychic type later on. And Froakie...Either a Water/Ice or a Water/Fighting from the discussions I've seen, the former being far more likely IMO. Ahh the mystery!
I just hope Fennekin's evolutions will look more like Ninetales rather than Purugly.

I can definitely see the resemblance there, and it would be sweet if we had a grass/dark starter! I'm with you on Fennekin's evolution, and it better not look like Purugly did, that was messed up. :T
Froakie could be a Water/Fighting, but we already had the Poliwag line.... Man, I wanna see some evolutions!

That's at least a few more months to wait before more hard info, though... And I am hoping for a Dark-Psychic-Fighting reverse counter ring among the starters, too. If nothing else that will mean more interesting rivals in-game. And also a Gen VI Hoenn remake and maybe two more Eeveelutions, but the first one's far off and the second one's unlikely.
Yeah, only time will tell. Hope they - the new starters - will do well.

That would be a really cool dual-type set, and definitely more interesting rivals. An R/S/E remake would be so cool, albeit a long time away <3 Well, if they follow the Eeveeloution pattern (Gen 2 got 2, Gen 4 got 2 more, Gen 6 gets 2?) then we might get some, but you're right, it probably isn't that likely.

Aww you drew them so adorably here. Personally I think they're nice. Its neat to have a grass starter who is mainly brown. Fennekin is cute too, and Froakie although I think maybe we have enough frog pokemon. I think Chespin has to be my faveorite.
Have you seen the new screenshots yet? I really like that deer thing with the glowy things in it's horns. I'm going to have to get a 3ds somehow now.

No problem. I like Fenneken too but it seems fairly popular and I tend to shy away from super popular Pokemon.

Yeah, same here. I actually caught an Eevee and named it Cliche (I have this headcanon that he hates me, especially because I taught him Attract xD)

That would be so cool xD I did one or two, with a fox and a dragon, but I'm gonna do ones with some other species too. I guess we could either do sly, cool animals, or animals no one would ever expect to be theives. xD

I did one with a raccoon and a coyote, I'll try some dragons as well. Makin them something totally unique would be awesome too.

Ooh, nice! Coyotes are even sneakier than foxes, although I guess thats a little racist? ...Speciesist? (Apparently that's a word, my comp isn't correcting it. lawl) I can see how pigeons would be good, too! or just birds in general, but yeah, it is pretty hard for them to do much thief-wise :T

Well, we have some coyotes where I live (middle of nowhere :I ) and once in a while I see them slinking around. I guess just a personal opinion though

I'll be honest first time i saw them i wasn't too impressed but then this is true for every time a new gen comes out so i expect they will grow on me :L I agree fenniken has the best design although i will probe end up using chespin as i usually choose the grass starter. Ill reserve judgement on the game until i see the whole poked but for now ill just say the game graphics and battle animations definitely have my attention

I agree, like when I saw Gen V's starters, I wasn't too impressed, and I'm still not completely pleased with them, but they definitely grew on me.
Fennekin is so cute, but I think it's too...yellow for me, but that's just an opinion. Yellow has never been my favorite color so.... But yeah, I think I'll choose Chespin too, I've gone with water starters a lot.
The animations DEFINITELY look like they'd be worth it, and I saw one snapshot of the region that looked like Paris! If that's the theme they went for, it will totally be beautiful.
