Description
The complete game board, in full color, for Sun and MoonβThe Astra Game. Dimensions of the PDF file are seventeen inches square, which is beyond the capacity of most desktop printers; a trip to the local print shop probably will be necessary.(I apologize for the bizarre category, but Deviantart steadfastly ignores the existence of any game other than digital games.)

I hope to have a finished version of the game sometime in my life, too.

What would you suggest is the best way to go about printing this?
I'd like to play this on a sort of foldable, board-game type board but I've never printed on anything like that before.
Or would it be better to print it on some kind of giant label/sticker then stick onto a board?

For my own copy, I went to a local copy-and-print shop and had the art for board and pieces printed on full-sheet US-letter label paper.
I cut down the piece artwork and stuck it on spools, much as Zaehlas did . The game-board quarters I stuck on sheets of foam-board, then trimmed to 8.75" squares; Zaehlas on the other hand had the full board artwork printed and laminated.

Thanks.
I like the idea of a board more than a laminated sheet.
(Though I admit Zaehlas's method seems a little more portable.)
I'll be going with your method. ^.^
Thanks again for the help,
and for the awesome (looking since I haven't played) game. ^.^

Being able to accommodate both methods is why I made sure to supply the art in three forms!
Youβre very welcome, and let me know if you decide to post images of your completed set.

How do you play it? .-. I can't find the rules for it. Seems fun though.

If you click the βAllβ tab near the top of the browser window, in the dark-green stripe, it will show the subgallery in which Iβve posted all the components for the game, including the rulebook. If you want direct links, I can send you to the color rulebook and the grayscale rulebook .

-...the hell ? I think something is wrong with the new version (15.0) of Firefox ?

Itβs not Firefox. I use Safari, both on MacOS and iOS. Safari shows the PDF file, but Mobile Safari gives me the same message. Hereβs what I think happened:
Deviantart was using a Google service to serve PDF files in windowpanes. Iβm guessing that, for whatever reason, theyβve decided to stop doing that. That dumps the problem on the client browser instead. If the browser is equipped to deal with that, as desktop Safari is, or the user has installed a plug-in, thereβs no problem. If not, well, the browser complains.

After some more searching, I found by some luck a page mentioning that sometimes you had to *manually* set an option, with whatever *.pdf reader you use, so it could 'view' them in-browser.
And, since I'm not using a default program, like Acrobat Reader (I'm using Foxit Reader), the option wasn't properly set.
Now it seems to work.

i wonder if someone can make a game program for this, cause that would be awesome

Thatβs a common sentiment! Weβll see.

The outer twilight line has a diameter of sixteen inches; the stars along it extend about an eighth of an inch beyond that. That makes an overall width of about sixteen and a quarter inches, but youβll want to add a little space beyond that to allow pieces to rest on those outside stars.

must resist urge to attempt to build a wooden game cabinet for this board and the pieces.

the worst part is that i have thinking about how i would build it all day, only to realize i don't have the right tools to do it.

Heh. Yeah, Iβve had moments like that, albeit on different kinds of possibilities. If you simply must have an outlet to exorcise it from your head, draw up plans and post them.

Even without the game behind it, this board is a really nice piece of art. My favorite bit has to be that the earth is another yin-yang design.
