Drew this years ago in Character Design. Decided to color them recenty.Merlin characters. (Love this show)

Nice! I've never seen this show, but I like the simplified character designs. I would suggest next time you draw out poses (I know you simply colored these), try practicing more gesture drawing or something that will make your poses/figures less stiff to warm up your hand for looser figures.
I know you take inspiration from Bruce Timm and Glen Murakami (who btw has an Instagram @glenmurakami--it's great for inspiration!), while their art uses stiff, geometrical shapes there's still fluidity to how they can be twisted, bent, etc.
I also LOVE the gradient shading you did! It's so pretty! It's only in a few areas, but it's one of those things that leaves you looking at the details. (:

Thank you! Yeah I'm not sure if the poses at the time were due to the time crunch or if you are right and I just had/have to work on gestures more. It was at least 3 or 4 years ago. Thank you so much for the critique though! <3
