Moxie is The New School's feminist organization, of which I am a member. I do a lot of the flyers, and I think this is my favorite.The Body Image Workshop is a project that has been in the works for several months, and finally will take place next week! The event is being managed by a girl whose family has been plagued with body image disorders, like anorexia and bulimia. The Workshop will address these issues, as well as the 'less serious' effects mass media imposes on us every day.
The photos are stock images from They are absolutely beautiful in their own right, and every time I zoom in for something else, I'm amazed at them again.

I think the layout works pretty nicely. Those photos really are beautiful, and the text matches perfectly. It's easy to read, so hopefully it'll draw in people! Yeah!

The school that lets us put up pictures of sex toys and use words like "PORNOGRAPHY" and "MASTURBATION" in our posters won't let us show her tits!!

Geez, it just comes to show how the female body is sexualized. >.>; Breasts are only just tissues with fat. Why such the big deal with female breasts? I think it's sad that some women can't feel comfortable enough to milk-feed their babies in public with all that stigma about.
Oh well. I'll look at the revision. (Hmm...my feminist classes are actually getting into my mind. O_O; )

I know! The anti-breast feeding sentiments really annoy me. If you're so immature that you can't stand to look at a breast being used for its most basic purpose, you have a serious problem with your own body and sexuality. >.<
