When watching "The Lion King" or listening to the songs of TLK 1+2 I like to imagine what the movie would like to be when the roles of the lions and hyenas get changed.I wanted to picture the idea and took a screenshot of a scene in TLK 2 where Simba sings to Kiara and changed the two into a hyena mother and her child.
For some reason I always liked most of the songs in TLK 2 way better than the songs in TLK 1 (except "Be prepared") and the song "We are one" is one of my favorites.
The shading is done with the marker tool in SAI only. I'm quite happy with the outcome
Oh and spotted hyenas get born with a complete dark brown fur. It slowly changes into the typical colored spotted coat when they grow older, beginning with their face.

Ich fand die Hyänen von KdL sowieso immer am tollsten und auch so sind sie total interessant

Würde dem Image von Hyänen mal ganz gut tun.
Es kommen jährlich so viele neue Animationsfilme raus, die die unterschiedlichsten Dinge behandeln, warum dann nicht auch mal ein Film über Hyänen, in dem sie mal die Hauptrolle haben und nicht als sabbernde dumme Aasfresser dargestellt werden?

Das ist wirklich extrem süß. Und sehr schön umgesetzt, von der Colo bis hin zum Shading! Bei mir ist es genauso, ich mag zwar TLK 2 nicht sonderlich, find die Lieder aber schöner als im TLK 1 (außer "Circle Of Life" und "Be Prepared").

I still hope there will be a movie about hyenas someday. We have so many animated movies and there are coming more and more every year about so many different things. So why not a nice one about hyenas?

I agree. I film with nice hyenas would be great to see. What's sad is that it'd be cg, and I always thought it'd be nice to see a good hyena movie in traditional 2d animation. Still, a cg hyena film would be good. The technology and detail in current computer animated films is astounding, and anything that makes hyenas look truthful and good is deserving of being made. ^^
