but forreal now, it's honestly making artists feel quite a bit awkward when people phrase things like that. Jealousy isn't a compliment. Instead you could say something like: "I aspire to be as good as this one day." This is way more of a compliment than the previous one. Otherwise you make artists feel guilty or even offended. It might not apply here since cbed's pretty chill in my experience but others might not react the same way. I say that because I personally know a lot of bigger artists who feel this way. And even I feel like this sometimes. (Also yes I know this is almost perfectly a year old. Still..)
