Description
Here is my new Strormraven gunship from the Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Codex. They don't make a kit, or even supply a drawing of this vehicle so.....the sky is the limit for conversions. This is the marriage of a Valkyrie, Ball Predator, and LS Storm. It has access ramps front, rear, and sides. It has Four Bolodstrike missiles, a TL Assault Cannon turret, and a hull mounted TL Heavy Bolter. It can hold a dreadnaught externally under the rear thrusters behind the aft access ramp.
I can't wait to paint it up in my Ravenguard livery's colors!

Looks really awesome ^^ Even cooler than the models GW have for the Stormravens. Great work.

it looks good. the baby thunderhawk in venus' first link is interested, the forgeworld model is now the Caestus assault ram

Looks rather nice
Really good idea and work with the twin-linked heavy bolter and using the land speeder is also a very good idea though perhaps you should enclose it entirely? since the crew would be rather exposed during atmospheric entry with not doors on the sides, the front wings looks a bit funny, bit it just could be the angle of the shot, and the turret from the baal predator looks like just that, a turret from a baal predator, perhaps some rework would remove that "bolt on" feeling. Its a bit bulky for my mental picture of a stormraven gunship bit it cerainly looks like a GUNship this could ofcourse also be the angle of the shot.
Also good job on finding a way to fit those valkyrie engines with it looking weird! I am currently making my own stormraven with the valkyrie as base and I can for sure say that fitting those engines in a way that wont look silly is annoying...
Good work!

Very neat concept. Is that a cradle for the dreadnought?
I'm really looking forward to seeing this painted up.

Very nice conversion. I like the way you made it look chunky, makes it look even more mean!

Could do with a better picture but it looks cool my friend.
There's actually a description in one of the novels, it involves an inquisitor who has a "personal transport" which is essentially a baby thunderhawk this is supposed to be the closest thing to a stormraven so far...
BUT theres also this image. [link]
which is from the book cover for the whitescars/ravenguard novel... which also looks like a baby thunderhawk. The forgeworld prototype model they had on display at one of the forgeworld events was called a stormeagle - [link] - which was listed and pointed into a ravenguard army... Maybe they're thinking of something along the lines of whats in this illustation. Cool nonetheless.

Thanks for the kind words, and the images bud! I've seen the Forgeworld model, but it hardly looked like a baby thunderhawk, so I ignored it lol. That image from the ravenguard/scars novel is epic though. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I'm gonna have to read that sucker!
