thats wat the artical about comic shading meant. it said comic line art has no shading how ever it uses lines to shade. im like wat? but there is no shading but ok. i can see the lines move with the directions of the light. i always though hatching was just a way to make it look cool

in a sense it is making it look cool. you don't want boring layouts of just solids and bask.

yeah i know right! when i used cross hatching i only used it to try to make it look cool and like i knew what i was doing but i think i have a general idea now. i used alittle on my newest picture.
