Wanna know what I noticed? I noticed that most people (specifically on the hero side cause it makes even less sense there) don't even make a hero character. They make either anti-heroes, or mostly Demonic/Angelic characters. Mostly Demonic.

Honestly, it kinda bugs me. I don't understand Demon characters are so cool to people. What's so cool about a species that thrives and enjoy's killing millions of people? :c

i think the appeal an anti-hero or a demonic creature as a hero is what it takes for that character to overcome those evil tendencies and BECOME heroic. the journey or the drive that's necessary to overcome what nature itself expects of you. we all love an underdog story, or a story of redemption. somehow, i think it's easier to identify with, to a degree. it's so easy to do evil, but doing good is the ideal. it's great to have a hero that embodies that, but some might identify better with someone who isn't innately good and has to change to become so. plus, it's kinda fun to cut loose and defy the customary heroic cliches every now and then. that's my take on it, at least

I understand now. ^.^

I guess what bugs me is that, it's rare to find a hero that doesn't look like an anti-hero or a straight up villain. o3o

I found only 3 straight up heroes on DCUO, and even then they looked a little punkish. :c

I call them heroes, cause one looked like a hero (mostly) and the other hero had another player for a sidekick. x3

And by sidekick, I don't mean like Batman and Nightwing/Captain America and Iron Man, I mean straight up like Batman and Robin/Captain America and Bucky sidekick. X3

i do know what you mean, tho. i have about 25 characters on my DCUO account and a good third of them are demonic/anti-hero-like characters, lol. but they're mostly inspired by anime/movie characters that i've always wanted to see in a video game (like Devilman/Devil lady; Django:Unchained, etc...). I play on PS3. my User name is SHIRA-X if you're ever on.
