*siiiigh* One of my favorite-est pages ever. This is the page Humberto MAILED to me when I asked if I could buy it.
I love him. And I love this page.
EDIT: So I just reuploaded the file with the bw next to it for comparison. See, it's pretty fabulous without the colors.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to counteract the sad amount of Ramos-art-hate on The Hostel LJ comm (which is how I got linked to this; glee!) and say that I loveloveloveLOVE the guy's art. I won't lie, when I first saw the character designs before his run started I kinda went ":/" but seeing the actual work and actual pages? It's great, you're great, Moore's great, and I guess what I'm trying to say is that the whole thing is dern spiffy.
Now with THAT outta the way, I'll be over here torn between grinning like a fool and crying like a baby at this page. There'll be vague squeeing/sobbing noises. Whee.

Yeah! I love Humberto's art on this arc too! I think it was totally fun and appropriate for the book.
And as far as I'm concerned, MY OPINION IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS... cause I'm coloring it so I'm the one that HAS to like it or else my job is ass balls. XD

Probly true about kids already knowing, but we shouldn't repeat the same mistakes. Lesbians can be lesbians, and gays can be gays, and although I believe it to be wrong and immoral I don't hate them.
What I don't like is that if for instance the teachings of islam or Christianity are in a comic, then people will start complaining, but when some hot sexy looking lesbos decide to show you their lifestyle/beliefs then it's ok. Because it is presented in a pleasureable manner.

Yes it is sexy and stuff, but it is not appropriate for kids, and I consider 18 and below basically kids, even though some 18 yr olds are more mature than people in their 30's. Everyone has a free will, so we should present younglings with a clean and wholesome example of life, and from there if they decide to be different then so be it.

True, everyone will have a gripe about something, just like when we draw as artists. Some people will think our art is the greatest thing in the world and others not so much.

I don't think showing two girls who are in love kissing is worse than putting a female character in a low cut top or making costumes that're the equivalent of bikinis. I mean, teenage boys love comics too but should I be concerned that they're looking at large breasts and skin tight spandex costumes? I mean, if we're talking sexuality, should we be sheltering boys from oversexualized illustrations and girls from unrealistic expectations of what their bodies "should" look like according to mainstream pencilers? It's ridiculous to think that and it'd ridiculous to think that this small kiss that isn't even super sexualized is something teen need to be "sheltered" from.
On top of that, what about all the lesbians and gays teens that read mainstream comics? Is it fair to them that we've shown several straight couples kiss but never the gay couple?

You have valid points, and I do agree with you about a matter of being fair, you know, if someone doesn't like it, I guess they won't buy the book. To me though it's kind of like saying that is it fair to show people drinking beers but not showing them smoking pot, to some these are vices, to others normality. It's like escalating the level of things for me...

I heard they fixed Xavin as exclusively male a while ago. Glad to hear it they changed it back. It's not like there is a ton of transgender (?) character's out there.

I saw a page on message board. It took place during the time travel arc (which I haven't read yet) where Molly talks to Xavin, mentionning how he identifies more with being male. I'm certainly wrong.
I really need to get my hands on the new hardcover volumes after 3. It's sad because Marvel changed how they package. They aren't numbered anymore. : (
