Hmmm. Bigger tablets should allow you more flexible hand movements, maybe you just needed more time to adjust or perhaps the height and angle was wrong. What size was it and what size do you use now?

The old table was crap. It did not follow the 90 degree angle rule. Tablet should be parallel with the floor. I've replaced all the tables with new builds with the tablet work surface at 27.5 inches from the floor. I work a lot longer now but the new set up has greatly minimized fatigue.
Your hand must be tipping upwards or downwards, even side to side as you work. Only way it would screw up wrist movement and cause carpal.
Try to post a pic of your work area. Maybe I can make suggestions. This is a problem you need to resolve for the long term. It cuts on your productivity bigtime, up to 50%.
