Description I had to do this one really quickly, but pretty happy with how it turned out. I wouldn't mind going back and tightening the colours up a bit.

Thanks Guile. Didn't have a lot of time on this one, but it came together alright all things considered.

I just LOVE the 'old school' and yet modern feel of the drawing. Absolutelly stunning rendition.

Awesome work, and I do like the colors. But yeah, I always wondered how the heck Shatterstar's swords fit into his sleeves as they are far longer than his forearm... until I saw Valentine's concept sketches. Makes sense that they're actually segmented.

Thanks.

Yeah,I'm too lazy to draw the segments... but I do picture them in my head.

Jamie and Layla in the background look gorgeous. The colors, especially the shadows, are perfect.

Any idea when they started giving Shatterstar those cool sleeve swords? Great work with the group shot.

davidyardin In reply to TheDrag [2011-06-14 23:27:07 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Valentine De Landro did the original redesign with the swords coming out of his sleeves, which was first seen in X-Factor #44 or 45. We didn't want to totally revamp Shatterstar again at issue #200 so I kept most of Val's designs in my tweak.
