Nice. You know, this would've been a better series if Fu wasn't getting stuck in a brothel or otherwise caught and molested all the time.

Nice work on perspective here. Also the sunflower background is a nice touch, it gives the piece some vintage feeling.

Man that cell shading rocks big time! You hit it outta the park!

Question: How do you get your slightly softer edges to your cell shading?
Mine's usually pretty hard edged and doesn't look as great as this.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CeeCeeLuvins In reply to sean-izaakse [2008-03-27 15:25:53 +0000 UTC]

I copy the lighter selection, paste it on a layer above, and then gaussian blur that layer.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sean-izaakse In reply to CeeCeeLuvins [2008-03-27 15:32:58 +0000 UTC]

So you have the flat colour on a later and the shades on a layer then and blur the flats?

Sorry I don't mean to be a pain, but I really wanna try it out. It blows my mind

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CeeCeeLuvins In reply to sean-izaakse [2008-03-28 19:52:16 +0000 UTC]

you blur the layer above the background layer, which is the layer you should be coloring on.

Never blur the original color layer.
