Anyway, I mentioned in the drawing above to 'look at the comments below' when referring to my digital means. Basically, all that involves is me adjusting the scanner quality. You can use Photoshop, Microsoft Picture/Photo Editor (or something like that...) and even Microsoft Word to do this really easily, by adjusting the exposure and the contrast, and the colour if needed. This makes the image a lot brighter, where the scanner dulls it down. I have done this to all the above images shown. I also add white highlights using Paint or Photoshop, on this picture, I only added white marks to the eyes, as the gel pen didn't show up very well.

Handy Promarker Tip: If your Promarker is running out, use the very tip of the pen. This doesn't work as well with the thin nib, but with the fat nib (as I'm assuming most, if not all, Promarkers are double ended) if you use the very tip, rather than the entire edge, the pen will last a lot longer, and won't come out scratchy. I also find it useful to 'give the pen a break' for a little while, and when you come back, there'll be a little, tiny bit more spark left in it ^^. Also, as shading with Promarkers works best when the ink is dry, I often, for example, do a layer on the skin, then a layer on the hair, and then come back to the skin, as then it will be dry. Or, you can just wait for the layers to dry (it doesn't take long, less than a minute usually).
