My name? It doesn't matter. Not if you ask me.

Hello. I am a simple woman with a gift of words. I have been complimented for my way of speech and my interaction with other people. This started when I was very young. I was thrilled about the kind words, because I love conversations. I feel I can learn so much from them. Eventually, I decided to make this my profession. I am not a therapist. I do not heal people. But occasionally, I try to help them, if needed. At other times, I simply enjoy speaking with those who have something to say, and they seem to enjoy talking to me.

I've been called the Conversationist. It is an accurate term, I suppose, and I can't say I mind it. However, as stated above, I place no importance in my name. That is why I shall not give you mine, or why I never give it to my patients. The latter would be devastating, as the focus should be on them, not me. I do not object in calling them by name, as they seem to appreciate it. And if they don't, I quit.

I am writing to give you the stories I have been told through the years. They are many, so many, and I can only grant you a few. These are words of loss, suffering, betrayal, but also conscience, truth and progress. I hope that you will bear with me, because this is a road trip worth exploring.
