They watched as the beer cans hit the floorAnd they really couldn't take it anymore
"Daddy, please stop!" Cried the smallest
"We want you better!" Stated the tallest
"We want our Daddy back." Thought the last
They could only remember the past
He loved them back then, before the beer
And now it was the only thing dear
And now they cried in their sleep at night
Because their father didn't put up a fight
And they watched in vain as he killed himself
Their memories no more than frames on a shelf
