Wow! 3 months has passed in a blink of an eye!Working from home is pretty hard... especially when an absurdly cute distraction is present.

Its nice to see an animator who's a mother. I really want to have children but everyone at school keeps making it seem like there's no time for family when you work in that field.

It is a profession I wouldn't recommend - it takes more than an insane amount of skill, determination and passion to make it. And they're right - it's a job that demands your time and energy, and it would eat so much into your social life/free time and it would make you question about your decision at many points (especially on days/nights wondering why you're not with your loved ones). It's dangerously volatile (there is never a guarantee that you will stay attached to a studio for a very long time and/or get paid well), and we need to be prepared to put on very thick skins when the 'beating' comes. Stress comes with the territory as there will be constant crunch time to meet deadlines under all the workload that you're expected to deliver.
But there are also rewards to it 
These days, I'm a storyboard artist but I can still switch to animating when I have to - that way, I can stay close to the field, have something to fall on, and spend some time with my family.
Hope you will have a wonderful path to success, and especially be among company who will keep you going.

So sorry for the late reply. Hope things are okay with you. Working from home while caring for a little one can be really challenging, since they demand a lot of attention and we do want to do our best to provide for them. I usually work when the little one is asleep, but I'm quite lucky to have a husband who would take over (caring for the baby) when I have a deadline looming over. It's tough, but do-able. I think the toughest part is getting a job that allows you to work from home (and a steady flow of it too).
