Description

We come now to part three of my fanart for the fic “Prayers to Broken Stone” Please, go enjoy the fic before viewing the art. Here’s the link:

As usual, my picture reads from left to right, top to bottom. The pictures are from Chapters 13-16.

The first image is Gandalf (Yay, I get to draw someone other than Thorin or Bilbo) examining Bilbo for dragon spell. The next picture is the dragon inside Thorin taking control of their shared body to escape (I tried to draw an ethereal Thorin watching, but I don’t know if that came out too well). Then, there is an image where Thorin is furious and upset with Bilbo, and pins him against the wall of a secret room. The picture below is where Thorin demands to know why Bilbo stays with him, and Bilbo gives him a desperate confession as an answer. The next picture is where Bilbo compliments Thorin, and Thorin just stares. The second last panel is where the creature takes control of THorin and goes to see what is happening to the gold. In the final panel, THorin has returned to the locked room, but is exhausted and falls asleep on Bilbo’s shoulder.

The backgrounds didn’t really come out well with the scanner, but I am proud of the way the scales are growing larger. Also, the reason why Thorin has blue lining his scales in one panel is because I needed a visual way to tell that the creature is possessing Thorin.
