Here's a picture of my Princess Garnet costume that I made for Anime Expo '07. Man, that costume was a lot of hard work. It wasn't hard to make, it was just really tedious, especially all of the hand embriodery. Yep, all of those green vines on there were hand embriodered by me. *dies* I'm still not completely done with it yet. ; There's still a bit of embriodery in the back that I have to do. But you can't even tell unless you know Garnet's dress as well as I do. Oh, and the green pendant on my belt is wrong. ; I envisioned the pendant looking one way and then when I finally got good reference pictures it turned out to be something completely different. And this was about 5 days before AX so there was no way that I could buy all of the stuff that I needed and made it in time. But once I'm over the horror that I went through with finishing that gown, I'll make her belt pendant and finish up the embriodery. ^^

The crown that I'm wearing and the little crown thing on top of my crystal was made by my friend, Amanda. She's amazing at sculpting!!! All I really did was just glue everything together and paint. I don't know how she had the patience to do all that detail. *_* But then again she doesn't know how I had the patience to sit for hours and embrioder. lol

And yes, that's my real hair. ^^ People keep asking me about that. Maybe it's because my hair is so long that it's hard to believe that it's my own. Or because my real hair is all ugly and frizzy. XP I think it was the heat that made it like that. But my bangs are fake. ^^ The side hairs are actually my real bangs that I grew out. I didn't have the courage to cut my real hair that short so I bought some fake bangs to put over my real ones. Plus, I still needed by bangs to do my Aerith hair.
