Yeeeeessss. This turned out so good! I finally drew this design again and it felt awesome! Kyanite's corrupted form makes me sooooooo happy! My poor baby though, she's really not in good shape in this piece. I promise I'll draw her a lot happier next time!

In another life, there is a Kyanite who never reached Earth, who never found the Crystal Gems and never discovered friends that accepted her. Having fled from the Homeworld, she drifted, scared and alone, through the cosmos, haunted by the voices of the other Gems.

Worthless. How did such a useless gem come to possess such a dangerous power?

She will never amount to anything...

She's a danger to herself and everyone here! We would be better off if she had never been formed...

She snapped beneath the weight of their ridicule. All the frustration, all the bitterness and agony from their emotional abuse that she had kept bottled up burst forth. Her skin turned black, like the void of the coldest reaches of space, and crystals erupted from her flesh. She became the Rift Walker, a silent, empty creature that stares forlornly from dark corners, never attacking unless provoked. Kyanite's own lack of confidence of controlling her teleportation abilities crosses over to this form; it jumps erratically, there one second and gone the next, taking with it chunks of anything that was near it when it teleports.
