All right. Here it is.
My entry for 's 600 Watcher Contest. (Congrats, by the way, that's super amazing!)

Well, to start off, I can say I had a great deal of fun with this one! As soon as I saw that the contest was to draw one of her characters, I knew exactly who I was going to draw; Horologix. Because we all know I'm a sucker for a beautiful bird boi Birds are awesome. Characters associated with time are awesome. There was like, no question in my mind, here XD

I spent a really long time pouring over references of him, so hopefully I didn't make any errors in his design, here, or at least, nothing very big! Looking over his bio gave me the idea for the name, and the whole trippy, illusion-like setting of the piece, and his dramatic pose. I've got a whole notebook page full of dramatic bird poses now! XD

I wanted to use more than clocks for the time aspect, so I went with other time-measuring devices as well; candles, sundials, and hourglasses. I also knew I wanted to put in stars, so I searched around to see if there were any owl constellations. Turns out that there used to be. It was called Noctua, but it's no longer recognized as a modern constellation, so I went with the next best thing. The constellation in the upper left corner is Horologium, the Pendulum Clock.

I don't expect to win the contest, but I really, really hope that TheAkanemnon likes it!
