I know he looks very mournfully sad right now but I promise it's okay; what's most likely happened here is that both his parents managed to leave his field of vision for approximately 0.37 seconds, and as far as pufflet logic is concerned that qualifies as abandonment XDDD

Orb parents are extremely attentive (and overprotective do not come close they're like geese) so I can promise they are very very close by. Behind him. Where he can't see XD They would not go far. And he would squeak at them if they did because he's used to constant attention-
